Abstract photographic composition from the series

Reflectors

A mirror seemingly shows us reality – and yet we only see it indirectly. Even a slight change in perspective is enough for the same object to appear completely different. I’m fascinated by this uncertainty of seeing. In conjunction with slit scanning, the reflection is disrupted not only spatially but also temporally. Familiar forms break free from their usual order. The result sometimes seems like a message from another dimension – and yet consists solely of what was actually present in front of the camera.
