It emerged from a casual moment: color foils, originally intended as intermediate layers for another series, lay on the transparent shooting table set up for transmitted light shots. A quick test, still without a subject, just foil and light – and suddenly there was something reminiscent of early modernist color experiments.

But unlike classic primary colors, these tones appear muted, multi-layered – difficult to name. Red? Blue? Yellow? Green? The classification remains vague. What seems nameable slips away at the moment of naming. What appears structured remains open to interpretation. Each composition balances between formal order and semantic uncertainty. Colors – Name Them celebrates the quiet complexity of the simple – and raises the question of how far language can reach when it comes to perception.
