This series moves between closeness and distance, between connection and separation. It circles around the idea of togetherness – in large or small groups, or completely alone, calmly, consciously, and self-contained. In urban structures, on imaginary islands, across entire continents.
These dynamic structures emerged in a petri dish filled with soap solution. Color pigments are injected – sometimes forcefully, sometimes with restraint. Bubbles form, clusters, islands – fragile entities that continuously transform. Hardly captured, they begin to dissolve, reconnect, or disappear to make room for new forms. Where nothing intervenes, colors slowly spread – as gentle transitions, as in-between zones – in constant flux.
What becomes visible evokes crowds and their absence. Moments of encounter – or missed opportunities. The dissolution of a group. The beauty of the silence that follows. The fleeting nature of these formations reflects the transient essence of human relationships, ever in motion.
These images do not speak of specific individuals, but of the human condition itself. Of the shifting balance between closeness and distance. Of living in community – and within one’s own space.
