Crystal Resurgence

At the edge of the forest, a long-discarded fragment of glass finds its rebirth. Through the lens of macro photography, this piece glows anew in soft turquoise – revealing the quiet dignity of the overlooked.

I found the glass in the Black Forest, while hiking along the edge of the woods. Despite its size, I took it with me – as a found object that deserved a second chance. In my studio, it became “Crystal Resurgence”: cleaned, positioned, and staged against the light.

This is how waste transforms into art: structures become landscapes, edges become lines, and the random becomes a composition. A small reminder that beauty often lies where we no longer look.

…and the piece of glass will of course be used again and again.
