Space over Time: Re-measuring Existence – Slit-Scan Photography
What gives us stability, what provides security?
Many answers could be found, but they all have one thing in common: their transience. Space and time, on the other hand – at least within our lifespan – endure. They are the constants that we can rely on from our first breath to our last, as individuals and as a society. In the midst of a fleeting existence, they offer reliability. They are fixed coordinates of our everyday perception – apart from Einstein’s relativity. But what happens when these apparent constants begin to waver? When space and time elude our usual view and we are forced to experience them anew beyond the familiar order… read more

Space over Time: Tracing the Past in Space and Time
This page leads to three curatorial sections within the Space over Time series.
Each section highlights a different phase of artistic development – from the first experiment to site-specific refinement.
The classification follows both a chronological and a content-related sequence:
Initially, the focus was on technical experiments – first trials with rotating objects during a winter holiday, later with specially developed turntables and adapted electronics … read more

Back then, migration was documented very differently than it is today.
Ursula von der Leyen was still Minister of Labour and
Christoph Kramer has not yet been to Brazil ***
